Trunk mounted weapons allows the officer quick and easy access to their weapon. No longer does the officer have to carry a weapon that is not secured. It also frees up trunk space and protects the weapon in the event of a rear end collision.
Dodge Charger Officers have told us the weapons obscure their rear view when mounted on the cage. Trunk lid mounted weapons corrects this and helps prevent theft (out of site out of mind).
